Der Vorhang fällt – the curtain closes

Why have I waited for such a long time releasing more Videos from my bachelor exam concert? No Idea.
Anyways, here you can listen to “der Vorhang fällt”. The english translation would be “the curtain closes”.
Thanks to the wonderful audio engineer Benjamin Kropp and the Video made by Henning Frosch.

Jacques Brel

Lisa Charlotte Müller singt: Jacques Brél, Ne me quitte pas/Amsterdam/Mathilde/le plat pays

Jens Rosteck (Pianist): Jacques Brél, Le Moribond, Vladimir Cosma, Promenade sentimentale, Erik Satie, Pièses froides Nr. 1

BIRDS – Concert Performance with refugee children

BIRDS – Concert Performance with refugee children

„Lunch concert“ in Kunststation Sankt Peter on 5th of December 1 PM.

Advent – Arrival – Adventure. In our contemporary search for alternatives to shopping romanticism of christ children, reindeer and angels heads, the „Lunch concert“ on 5th of December brings a group of syrian refugee children to the Kunststation Sankt Peter, which is an Art room as well as an Jesuit church near to the central Neumarkt. These children are the center of an Concert Performance including oud (arabic lute), vocal soloists and choir, which – entitled BIRDS – is dedicated to the adventure of arrival.

BIRDS are flying high, nest in the sky and connect the continents. They always live in danger without any save and solid ground. They are symbols for freedom and peace, in nursery rhymes they announce the spring. Old myths though tell us another sort of birds: tremendous giant ones that can cause storms and lash the sea, destroy human lifes and even morph into humans. Also this kind of birds the children know from their home countrys. Twin-headed Birds!

The Concert Performance opens a creative chance to the children who will sing songs in several languages, dance and perform. Beyond that they become a surface which is for us as spectators interesting and fascinating: (These) Children come from another world, they pass over borders and carry pictures, storys and experiences which would often surmount our comprehension. They do not show those experiences at first sight, quite the contrary – but yet it ist possible to see it as if through a cover.

Concert, Performance, Dance, Silence.
Refugee children from Cologne / Syria / Iraq.
Oud: Nabil Arbain.
Vocal solos: Laura Totenhagen, Lisa Charlotte Müller, Tamara Lukasheva.
Project choir Sankt Peter.
Direction: Samuel Dobernecker, Ramy Al Asheq.

Entrance free. Invitation to donate at the exit.
